ELIGIBILITY

Athletes must be 25 years or older on Jan 25, 2026. Individual competition will be conducted in five-year age divisions. All eligible members of USATF and eligible members of other WMA Members may compete in these Championships. However, only U.S. citizens may score or win championship medals. A 2026 USATF membership is required for USA affiliated athletes to enter online (please join online if you are not a member). Non-USA affiliated athletes must present evidence that they are members in good standing of their appropriate WMA Masters Member. Letters attesting to their status should be addressed to Robert Thomas, Chair, USATF Masters Track & Field Committee at mtfchair@usatf.org.

  • Masters athletes who are members of the following associations are eligible to score in the Mid-America region championships – Colorado, Dakotas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri Valley, Nebraska, and Ozark.
  • Masters athletes from other associations will compete as guest participants.
  • Athletes ages 18-24 yrs. are eligible to participate in all events (except athletes 18 yrs may not participate in the Weight Throw or Super Weight Throw).
  • Open: 18-24 years.
  • Masters (championships):  25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44…100-104

Implements

Implement weigh-in will begin at noon for those that are bringing their own implements. The Meet organizers will also be providing one implement for each age group/discipline.

Event Check-In

Field event athletes must check-in to their field event sites no later than 30 minutes prior to their competition. Any athletes failing to declare within that time frame will be scratched from the event. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Field Event Finals

The throws and horizontal jumps will consist of 6 attempts for each competitor when there are 8 or fewer contestants in an age division. If there are more than 8 contestants in an age division, everyone will get 3 attempts and the top 8 will advance to finals to be given three additional attempts.

Protests

Protests must be submitted to the Protest Referee at once and not later than 30 minutes after a result has been announced, the Referee’s decision is final.
