GENERAL GUIDELINES

Anyone may submit a record application. Complete only ONE application per mark. If a World Record was broken, you only need to complete ONE application, and you can choose from the choices above.

For American Records, forms do NOT need to be submitted for the following competitions:

  • USATF National Masters T&F or Open T&F Championships
  • NCCWMA Masters Championships
  • WMA World Masters Championships

RECORD ACCEPTANCE PROCESS
Record applications are reviewed by the Records Chair. If all requirements are met, the performance will be listed as pending. Pending records are submitted periodically for ratification. The official list of records will be modified following this ratification process. If requirements are not met, the record application is rejected. A rejected application can be reviewed if problems with the application are resolved. For World Records, the Records Chair will forward the application and supporting documentation to the pertinent parties for World Record review.
