We are honored to begin this series with USATF-MT Communications Advisor Cathy Utzschneider. Cathy (Ed.D., M.B.A., M.A.) brings both high academic and athletic achievements to U.S.A.T.F.-M.T. She’s been a professor of high performance at Boston College and a columnist for National Masters News since 2006. For over 25 years she has coached swimmers and runners from her coaching practice, M.O.V.E.! (http://www.movegoals.com/). She’s been an elite masters athlete for over 20 years, having won a silver medal at the Nike World Masters Games, nine U.S.A.T.F. age-group titles in distances from the 800 meters to 8K, a national title in the aquathlon, and a bronze medal in the World Aquathlon Championships. She has written two books, M.O.V.E.! and Mastering Running. She looks forward to writing for the Coaches Corner, USATF Masters. “Writing is learning,” she says!
