This morning WMA President Margit Jungmann announced that the WMA Council has decided to postpone the WMA Outdoor Championships scheduled for 2021 in Tampere, Finland to 2022. The next WMA Indoor Championships will be held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 2023, and the WMA Championships previously scheduled for Gothenburg, Sweden in 2022 will be held in 2024. No dates were announced for any of these events.
Now that we have this information the USATF Masters Track and Field Committee will be consulting with the LOC in Sacramento about dates for our 2021 Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Circumstances permitting, that competition will be held in July, with the dates still to be determined.
