Birthday boy Rondrick Parker turned in a noteworthy performance in the semifinals of the M35 60m dash; Parker, who turned 40 today and must still compete in the 35-39 age group, was just one one-hundredth of a second off Aaron Thigpen’s M40 record. Bob Cahners and Gloria Krug added to their gold medal collections in the throws today with wins in the hammer throw and weight throw respectively.
And finally, Roxanne Brockner won her first World Championships individual medal with her hard-fought silver in the W55 400m race.
