Other highlights of the day were the four gold medals in the 200m by Antoine Echols (M40), Jeffrey Mack (M50), Michael Kish (M70), and Charles Allie (M75); all of them becoming double gold medalists in the process after winning the 60m two days ago. In addition, Team USATF athletes won six other 200m medals. In the M45 triple jump, Team USATF Masters went 1-3, with Samuel Okantey capturing the gold and Tamba Kortequee the bronze. And Spencer Parrish (M85) won his second gold medal, taking first place in the 10k Road Race Walk.
Gloria Krug continues as Team USATF’s leading gold medal winner, collecting her sixth today in the W90 hammer throw. Emma McGowan narrowly missed out on the sprint trifecta, finishing second in the W50 200m after claiming gold in the 400m and 60m earlier in the meet.
Competition concludes tomorrow with finals in the 1500m, women’s pole vault and hurdles, and the 4x200m relays.
