ELIGIBILITY

All eligible members of USATF and eligible members of other WMA Members may compete in these Championships. However, only U.S. citizens may score or win championship medals. A 2025 USATF membership is required for USA affiliated athletes to enter online (please join online if you are not a member). Non-USA affiliated athletes must present evidence that they are members in good standing of their appropriate WMA Masters Member. Letters attesting to their status should be addressed to Robert Thomas, Chair, USATF Masters Track & Field Committee at mtfchair@usatf.org. A competitor must compete in his/her age division only. Athletes from more than one age group can comprise a relay; the age of the youngest member of the team determines which age group it competes in.

  • U.S. citizens must be members of USA Track & Field to enter and compete
  • Masters athletes who are members of the following associations are eligible to score in the Mid-America region championships – Colorado, Dakotas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri Valley, Nebraska, and Ozark. Masters athletes from other associations will compete as guest participants in the Mid-America championships
  • All athletes are subject to drug testing

$50 per athlete, $5 per entry

Awards & Contact

Athletes from associations in the Mid America Region who place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd will receive Mid America Region Championships medals as appropriate. Athletes from other associations and foreign athletes will receive equivalent medals, but will not displace Mid America Region athletes. There is no limit on the number of medals a competitor can earn.

Spikes

Only 1/4" pyramid spikes (or smaller) are permitted on the track. Athletes are expected to bring their track shoes with spikes to the clerking area for inspection.

Event Check-In

Track athletes will check in on the outside of the track near the 200m start line. Only athletes will be allowed in the clerking area.
Field athletes should report in no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the field event at the field event venue.

Rules, Conduct & Facility

Coolers are not permitted in the stadium. No glass bottles or containers permitted. No grills permitted. No alcohol or tobacco permitted on school property. No pets permitted. All participants and spectators are expected to show proper conduct towards others and the facility. Meet administration reserves the right to have individuals removed from the facility for behavior deemed unacceptable. No refunds.

Protests

There will be a $100 fee for all protests. Protests must be submitted to the Protest Referee at once and not later than 30 minutes after a result has been announced. The protest fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld.

Rules, Conduct & Facility

USATF Competition Rules will be followed during the Association Championship.
