ELIGIBILITY

All eligible members of USATF and eligible members of other WMA Members may compete in these Championships. However, only U.S. citizens may score or win championship medals. A 2025 USATF membership is required for USA affiliated athletes to enter online (please join online if you are not a member). Non-USA affiliated athletes must present evidence that they are members in good standing of their appropriate WMA Masters Member. Letters attesting to their status should be addressed to Robert Thomas, Chair, USATF Masters Track & Field Committee at mtfchair@usatf.org. A competitor must compete in his/her age division only. Athletes from more than one age group can comprise a relay; the age of the youngest member of the team determines which age group it competes in.

  • U.S. citizens must be members of USA Track & Field to enter and compete
  • Age Groups 14-29 yrs (Open), 30-34 yrs (submasters), 35+ yrs (masters)
  • Athletes younger than 18 will be considered on a discretionary basis

Implements

All throwing implements will be provided. Athletes are welcome to bring their own regulation compliant implements. All implements will be checked and certified prior to competition.

Protests

There will be a $100 fee for all protests. Protests must be submitted to the Protest Referee at once and not later than 30 minutes after a result has been announced. The protest fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld.

Track Facility

Lannigan Field
The track surface from Beynon Sports Surfaces has eight 48″ lanes and a 36.8m radius that provides a ideal training environment, while allowing for fast competition. In addition, all field events are within the oval and include two long jump lanes with 179′ runways, two high jump pits, two pole vault boxes, two shot put circles, a javelin runway and a discus/hammer throw cage.
The high jump and pole vault pits from UCS feature vinyl material equivalent to 37oz, three densities of foam, VTX 1000 Velcro stystem, Angulax 3000 Design, and a standard 2″ top pad delivers safety and durability.
Lannigan Field has the ability to change the direction of the events to maximize performance and the best wind.
