Carol Finsrud (W60) – hammer, weight, and discus – Carol will compete in the Throws Pentathlon on the last day of competition – Sunday, September 16, giving her a shot at 4 gold medals for the Championships. In the discus, she came within 4cm of breaking her own world W60 record in adverse throwing conditions. Carol lives in Lockhart, TX.
Rose Green (W80) – 100m, 200m, and 400m. Rose’s time in the 400m on Friday set a new American record of 1:33.94 broke the record set by the great Irene Obera in 2015 by nearly six-tenths of a second. On Sunday Rose will run legs on the W80 4×100 and 4×400 relays, giving her a shot at a total of 5 gold medals. Rose lives in Upper Marlboro, MD.
Charles Allie (M70) – 100m, 200m, and 400m. Charles broke his own World record in the first round of the 400m when he ran a time of 57.26 nearly two full seconds better than his previous record set at the 2018 USATF Masters Outdoor Championships at Eastern Washington University in July. On Sunday Charles will run legs on both the 4×100 and 4×400 relays, giving him a shot at a total of 5 gold medals at the Championships. Charles lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
