USATF Masters and the USATF Foundation Partnership to
Support Team USATF Masters Athletes!

USATF Masters and the USATF Foundation have a partnership to support Team USATF Masters athletes traveling to WMA indoor and outdoor track & field championships. The WMA Travel Grant Program builds on the success of the World #1 Program from the 2019 World Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland and the WMA Travel Grant Program for the WMA Championships in Tampere, Finland in 2022. That program played a major role in boosting Team USATF to second on the medal table in Toruń, which was the first time we have been that high at a WMA Championship in Europe. It also supported 50% of all Team USATF Masters medals won in Tampere, where the team finished a close third on the medal table.

The WMA Travel Grant Program’s goal is to support outstanding Team USATF Masters Track & Field athletes who wish to compete at upcoming WMA Championships. The program will assist those athletes who have a strong likelihood of winning a medal who may not otherwise be able to afford to attend a WMA Championship or for whom attending the meet would be a financial burden.
