Entry Deadline for 2024 USATF Masters Indoor Championships Coming Soon!
The entry deadline for the 2024 USATF Masters Indoor Championships at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center at Gately Park in Chicago, Illinois, is coming up soon. The on-time deadline is Wednesday, February 21 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time and the late entry deadline is one week later, on Wednesday, February 28 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time (the late entry fee is $60 plus all other applicable fees).

Indoor Regional Championships Coming Up!
Most of the USATF Masters Regional Championships are still to come this month and early in March. Here is the full list with dates and links to websites:
Southeast Region – Alachua Sports & Events Center, Gainesville, FL – February 11
Mid America Region – University of Colorado, Colorado Springs – February 18
Southwest Region – University of Houston – February 18
West Region – Northern Arizona University – February 18
Midwest Region – Fall Creek Pavilion, Indiana State Fairgrounds, Indianapolis – March 2
Entry deadlines can be as much as a week prior to the meet itself, so check the website and don’t miss out!
Entries are Open for the 2024 WMA Outdoor Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden in August – Entry Deadline is June 4
Entries are open for the 2024 WMA Outdoor Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden. The meet runs from August 13 to 25. The entry deadline is June 4, 2024. The meet includes the full slate of track & field events as well as cross country, a 10K road race, 10K road racewalk, and half marathon. Full meet information (including entry link) and a document specifically tailored for Team USATF Masters athletes (including team hotels) is available here.
USATF Masters, in collaboration with the USATF Foundation, has a WMA Travel Grants Program to support athletes with financial need who are very strong medal contenders. For information about the USATF WMA Travel Grant program and to apply, click here.
Masters Exhibition Events in 2024
There will be six Masters Exhibition Events in 2024. Information and application forms for all of them can be found on the Masters Exhibition Events page on usatfmasters.org.
The fields are set for the Masters Exhibition 60m at the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque on February 17. Applications are still open for the following events (deadlines are listed in parentheses below):
Rex Harvey Memorial Masters Exhibition Shot Put at the Drake Relays – April 27 (March 29) all ages
USATF Bermuda Grand Prix Masters Exhibition 400m – April 28 (April 2) M/W55-64
USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix Masters Exhibition 200m – May 18 (April 30) M/W 65+
USATF New York Grand Prix Masters Exhibition 100m – June 9 (May 21) M/W 40-54
US Olympic Trials Masters Exhibition 800m – June 23 (May 24) – M/W 55-64
Unfortunately, there is no support for travel or lodging for any of these events, except for Drake Relays where the Rex Harvey Memorial endowment covers local expenses for the athletes selected; all are marquee events on the 2024 track and field calendar.
2024 USATF Masters Outdoor Championships in Sacramento
Daily Schedule Posted
The daily schedule for the 2024 USATF Masters Outdoor Championships has been posted on the meet website. For now, that is all the information that is available. More will be added to the site in the coming weeks, with registration set to open in late March.

Masters Events During USATF Bermuda Grand Prix Weekend
April 27-28 – Hamilton, Bermuda
USATF Masters athletes are invited to come to Bermuda the weekend of April 27-28, 2024 to compete in the Move More Bermuda Senior Games and see the USATF Bermuda Grand Prix, featuring some of the top track and field athletes from the US and around the world. Events in the Move More Bermuda meet include the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, long jump, shot put, and discus.
Bermuda Tourism (which sponsored the MTF and MLDR Athlete of the Year Awards at the 2023 USATF Annual Meeting Night of Legends) has put together travel packages for USATF Masters athletes and their families. Click here for details.
Damien Leake and Sue McDonald Nominated by NCCMA
For WMA Male and Female Athletes of the Year
USATF Masters athletes Damien Leake (M70) and Sue McDonald (W60) are the NCCMA nominees for WMA Athlete of the Year for 2023. Leake was USATF Masters Male Athlete of the Year, and McDonald was Overall USATF Masters Athlete of the Year. Leake broke two M70 World Records last year – 60m at the Indoor Nationals in Louisville in March, and 100m in the Masters Exhibition 100m at the Los Angeles Grand Prix in May. McDonald broke a total of nine W60 World Records in 2023 – indoor 800m and 1500m and outdoor 400m, 800m, 1500m, mile, 300m hurdles, steeplechase, and heptathlon. She has already broken two indoor records in the young 2024 season – 400m and 800m.
WMA expects to announce its 2023 Male and Female Athletes of the Year later this month.
