2020 USATF East Region and Potomac Valley Association Masters Indoor Championships

Fees:

  • On-line entries:  $25 for the first event; $10 for each additional event, no limit
    Mail-in entries:  $35 for the first event; $10 for each additional event, no limit.
  • Relay entries only on-site – $30 per team

Registration Deadlines:
On-line entries: Close on Monday, Jan 13th at 11:59 am; late entries are available until Friday, Jan 17th, at 11:59 am (with $10 late fee)
Mail-in entries:  Must be postmarked by January 5, 2020
Day of event entry – cutoff 9:00am – $50 for first event; $15 for each additional event

NOTE:  60m trials will be run, if necessary in an age group, at 11:45 am, with finals at 3:00 pm.  If no trials are necessary in an age group, the final will be run at 11:45 am.

  • All events are FINALS on Time. (Except the 60m)
  • Running events will be run women first, then men / youngest to oldest age divisions; field events will be run as indicated on the meet schedule.
  • Field Event Flights: 19-49 women, 50+ women, 19-49 men, 50-59 men, 60-69 men, 70+ men, (age divisions may be merged into flights of 12 or less)
  • Throwing implements will be provided. Athletes may bring their implements.

AGE DIVISIONS

  • Age Divisions: Age of athlete on January 19, 2020.
  • Open (19-29)
    Masters (30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69……….).

ENTRY NOTE
When entering the meet online, each event will appear with the same charge as the first event; the actual fee for additional events will change at checkout to $10.

DATE OF BIRTH VERIFICATION
If after completing your entry, the Status of Entries page indicates “info. needed” you should fax a copy of your birth certificate or the information page of your passport–with your membership number written on it–to your respective Association.

AWARDS
USATF East Region Masters Championship medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group in each event (gold, silver and bronze); athletes from outside the region do not displace those from within the region but will be awarded duplicate medals. Patches will be awarded to USATF East Region Masters Champions (only one per athlete no matter how many events they win and only to athletes from within the East Region).  There will be no team scoring.

6-lane, 200-meter oval track. Mondo track surface, ¼ inch PYRAMID spikes only, No food or drinks on the track surface.

DIRECTIONS
From 495: Take Landover Rd. exit 17b-Landover Road. Once off ramp, proceed to far left lane. At first stoplight, turn left onto Brightseat Rd. Proceed straight through the traffic signal onto Redskins Rd.; follow signs to Sportsplex Auxiliary Parking Lot “D”. Park to rear of the lot, Complex is a 150 yards walk from the lots.

From Sheriff Rd: Follow Sheriff Rd. toward FedEx Field past the Sportsplex entrance. Stay in right hand lane. Take a right turn before the light at Sheriff and Brightseat Rd. intersection onto Redskin Rd.; follow signs to Sportsplex Auxiliary Parking Lot “D”. Park to rear of the lots, Complex is a 150 yards walk from the lots.
