USA Masters Track and Field

RULES

Rules of competition depend upon the type of meet and level of competition. All-comers meets can be flexible with regard to rules. But USATF sanctioned meets and other high quality meets follow USATF's RULES OF COMPETITION . These rules cover all aspects of competition. Masters athletes, for the most part, follow the same rules as open athletes. However, there are some exceptions particular to masters and they are described in Article VI, Section II of the rules book.

HURDLES AND THROWING IMPLEMENTS
Masters athletes compete in 5 year age groups. Specification for certain events (hurdles and throwing implements) are specific to each age group and can be found at SPECS .

RULE CHANGES
USATF's rules of competition are updated every other year (odd numbered years) at the USATF Annual Meeting. Proposed rule changes to be considered at the next annual convention will be posted here .
