Age Graded 100 Meters at the Drake Relays
LIKE TO SHOW YOUR STUFF AGAINST THE BEST ??
A men's age graded 100 meters (open athlete runs 100 meters and older ages run shorter distances) has been organized at this year's prestigious Drake Relays in Des Moines, IA. The event will be in the middle of the main program Friday evening 27 April 2018 and is sure to be a crowd and press favorite. The WMA Male Athlete of the Year Bob Lida will be there, and at his age, he only has to run about 70 meters. Can you youngsters catch him? In theory, everyone finishes at the exact same time.
Rex Harvey, Chair, USATF MTF
This is an invitation to participate in this very interesting race. The top eight 100m age graded athletes in 2016 or 2017 that apply will be chosen. Unfortunately there are no funds to reimburse the participants, but you will get an exciting race in front of a fantastic crowd, a write-up in a national T&F publication, personal attention and all the information possible about travel, housing, and dining. Each athlete will also be responsible for the $35 entry fee to be paid at packet pickup.
This is part of the Masters Track & Field Exhibition Events Subcommittee program chaired by Joy Upshaw and the local organizer is Marek Wenzel .
Please apply via his EMAIL address.
The application deadline is 6 April 2018 in order to have time to properly publicize all the participants and their titles and accomplishments.
